Medicine Section
This section is responsible for purchase, storage and dispensing of the medicines that are purchased as well as those received as donations. A drug collection campaign is launched every year. This section is operated mostly by medical students and an experienced dispenser who has been appointed by the society. On average, we provide medicines to more than 500 people every month.
This section operates in following subsets:
- Anti-diabetic medicines: providing oral hypoglycemics including glucophage, glibenclamide, metformin to about 100 patients per week with a budget of 12,000/month.
- Anti-asthmatic Inhalers: providing Salbutamol, Beclomethasone, Ipraprotium Bromide to more than 150 patients per week with a budget of 24,000/month.
- Anti-hypertensive medicines, hepatitis medicines and various CNS, GIT and Renal medicines
