In March 2008
- To improve the atmospheric environment of the Out Patient Department, Mayo Hospital, Students' Patients Welfare Society (SPWS) installed 80 bracket and exhaust fans, worth of about 2.5 lac, utilizing its own funds. read more

- To improve the health care facilities for patints in Lady Wellington Hospital, Stduents' Patients Welfare Society (SPWS) donated 3 Sonic Aids and 3 Nebulizers to all the 3 units of Lady Wellingotn Hospital. read more

In March-April 2007
- for patients' facility and to save them from any unnecessary discomfort, we have established some new sign boards alongwith the old ones, (also installed by SPWS) in the whole OPD guiding the patients to various rooms, labs, departments and dispensaries in the OPD

In April 2008
- in continuation of our health promotion projects , we conducted "Hypertension Awareness Campaign" in which lectures, regarding prevention and awareness of hypertension, were conducted in various classes and pamphlets, were distributed in whole university and hospital.

- for convenience of patients coming to SPWS, we got our SPWS office renovated so that we can accomodate and entertain more patients at a time in a comfortable environment.

- In order to maintain the clearity of finances, SPWS got audit of all its finances and accounts done from Ilyas N Ilyas. The accounts and the finances were declared to be totally clear.

On 30th April 2007
- we organized a free medical camp at the Rural Health Centre, Sharaqpur where we were accompanied by 11 doctors from the Mayo Hospital. More than 500 patients were provided with free check-up facilities and free medicines. They were also given dietary instructions and precautionary measures.

On 7th May 2007
- we organized a free asthma camp in our office at the Mayo Hospital where we provided Inhalers worth Rs 20,000, free of charge to more than 50 patients referred to us from the Chest and TB Ward of Mayo Hospital. Not only did we give them inhalers, but we also educated them in their use.

On 16th May 2007
- we organized a free diabetic camp in our office at the Mayo Hospital where we provided free medicines to more than 100 patients as well as providing them with free blood sugar level checks, charts on dietary instructions and free counseling.

On 9th June 2007
- a Asthma workshop was conducted in the KEMU auditorium in collaboration with IFMSA, for promoting general awareness regarding the disease. Various well-reputed doctors including Prof. Mushtaq Haroon, Prof. Shamshad Rasul, Dr. Ali Jawa expressed their knowledge regarding the disease and more than about 250 doctors and students participated in the workshop.

On 15th July 2007
- another free medical camp was organized at Ganda Singh Border, Kasur where we were accompanied by 7 doctors from the Mayo Hospital and 2 from outside. More than 400 patients were provided with free check-up facilities and free medicines.

On 14th August 2007
- SPWS celebrated Independence Day with the children of all Paediatric Wards, Oncology ward and Mayo Emergency by giving them gifts, singing patriotic songs, listening jokes and poems, playing games with them, distributing refreshments etc. In this way, we tried to bring a smile on the faces of those children who were in pain so that they might not consider themselves to be ignored on the Independence day.

In August 2007
- a donation campaign for the flood affectees of balochistan was started, in an attempt to contribute our share in alleviating the pains and sufferings of our brothers and sisters, helpless in Balochistan. Funds were raised, various medicines were bought and many required materials like clothes, blankets, flour were sent.
